How can i know that the store is updating right now in the background !! Why there's no notification ?

The only way to know when the store apps are updating(including the store itself) is to open up the store and check the downloads and updates page. An alternative work-around is to turn off the "Update apps automatically" option and to manually check for updates.

In the store, tap on "Downloads and Updates".

Wait for a little bit and you should see the list of apps appear, with the latest update at the top. If you don't remember updating any apps manually, then they must have been updated in the background.

Bear in mind, this is relevant for Windows Insider Fast Ring. If you don't have the latest version of the Windows Store, you might not see this.

Latest version of the store app is 11605.1000.113.0 (at least on my device).

What branch are you on, insider fast (Redstone) or any other? Because app update notifications were added only in the latest redstone builds. But still Store doesn't notify if app updates are available. If you turned on "Update apps automatically when I'm on WiFi" then the Store will install the updates and then notify you that apps have been updated. But this feature is not available to release preview or threshold public builds.
