Windows Central Question

On my last two visits to mainland Europe, France Spain and Austria my Surface RT has failed to charge but as soon as I return to the UK it charges up straight away

Mainland Europe 220V, 50Hz
UK 240V, 50Hz

Is it the charger which should work from 110V to 250V or is it the battery? On both occasions the neon light on the charger cable is lit

Interesting, I don't suppose you were you using a travel adapter?

If so did you try any others?

Hi,
I tried three different travel adaptors in different sockets in the hotel room.
Thanks
John

it might be the charger has a higher limit set (eg 230V) thus it might not work when voltage is 220V. Though this shouldn't be the case
It wasn't charging at all or it was charging slower than usual?
