Surface Pro 4 power button issues

Whenever my SurfacePro4 goes to sleep, I can't get it to turn back on. I have to hold down the power and volume buttons for 10 seconds and then press the power button, which takes me to the BIOS screen. I exit that and it powers on. What gives?
