Will w10 mobile work on my Lumia 929 , icon on the Verizon network

Yes w10m is available for the Icon now. As for the issues; I'm not sure about those, however you could check it out on your own

Just make sure to download the windows devices recovery tool to your laptop/pc > connect your phone (just to be sure that it actually detects your phone).

Download the insider app to your phone and go with the release preview ring it has very few bugs and those builds are but a step away from being pushed to RTM.
