I have Cortana on windows 10 but do not have a

I am trying to voice activate Cortana on Windows 10. I follow the online instructions up to the point where you are instructed to move the toggle to on at the "Hey Cortana" button. I do not have a "Hey Cortana" button. Could someone please tell my why this is. I have Windows 10, live in Canada and Cortana came with the laptop.
