Windows Central Question

Help, I recently purchase lumia 1020 currently in windows 8.1. I tried to install the preview builds (did hard reset, install windows insider, tried getting fast ring and slow rings builds), but for some reason I can't. Tried several times already and comes up with either of the following:
1. error 8018830f
2. error 801881e1
3. we cannot configure the device, because it is currently preparing an update

tried getting fast ring and slow rings builds

those rings are reserved for officially upgraded win 10 devices, and your 1020 isn't supported.

choose the release preview ring and you will be able to download the latest release of threshold build, 10586.494 , but that's the end of the line for you. As the development of threshold has ended and the resources have moved to redstone branch , which will be released to public on 2nd August as anniversary update. :)

Hi, I tried the release preview ring as well. when i check for updates under settings-phone updates, it says my phone is up to date :(

Is there any other way???

Can the 1020 get the Anniversary Update via the release preview ring?

get 950,sorry you recently got 1020, someone should've informed you that if you needed camera really in your smartphone that you should go Lumia 950/XL instead of Lumia 1020, ( I'm also coming from a Lumia 1020) currently own a Lumia 950 DS NAM

if it's just a matter of the camera, then it will still work regardless of which OS.
