windows phone 8.1has stopped backing up. Get message problem backing up settings.Please try-later

Have tried all sorts of things found on line to remedy this. Nothing worked. Spent 1hour with Microsoft on line,still nothing. Anyone any ideas?

does the backup get stuck when doing apps backup or just settings backup? Do you have space in onedrive?
