How to disable automatic windows menu?

How do I disable the windows start-up menu? I'm not asking how to go from full page to the smaller menu, I don't want the menu AT ALL, unless I click the windows icon. It is completely useless to me on startup, other than to irritate me.

I just want the start menu to go completely away!

try this: Start Menu pops up at every logon, and the Most Frequently Used programs list is reset everytime
