Windows Central Question

I am trying to execute a program CFM.jar. When I try I get the error "CFM was unable to write to the hard drive. If this is the first time you have seen this error, try moving the CFM directory to a different location (such as your desktop) and trying again. if you can't resolve this, please contact technical support."
I have tried moving the directory with no result.
I can use this program on an old XP machine but this won't connect to the device I wish to update.
I have tried different versions of java with no result.

Did you ever get a solution to your problem, I have the same problem with the cfm trying to update my telescope. I tried it on Windows 10 and now on Windows 7 . If you found the solution could you please give me an email at <email address redacted>... Celestron can't seem to find an answer. Thanks.
