why the glace screen getting off after i fix safety cover for my lumia 830

i have brought and fix a safety cover for my lumia 830. when i close my front cover my glace screen getting off. after i open the cover it work again. how can i solve this. most of the settings i did. but still i cant solve this.

Glance screen auto off via proximity its not practical and itwill just drain your battery if its always on but you can't see it because of the cover or the phone face down on the surface.

what kind of cover is it? Is it an opaque one or transparent? The proximity sensor will switch off glance if there's something on the screen
