Why isn't my home screen respond to touch

I was surfing the net, suddenly my new lumina 635 just stopped responding. I am able to receive calls but I can't make calls, receive texts or type texts coz the home screen button isn't responding. ( that one which brings the other tiles)

Pull the battery, count 10, replace the battery & POWER ON ...
IF you haven't already tried this.

Alternatively, SOFT Reset (Power & Volume Down together) ...

Try to change the SIM too
