There is an exclamation mark on my screen and a soft/hard reset won't work

Hard reset key sequence:

Unplug your phone
Hold vol up then plug charger. Keep holding till a ! mark appears
Leave button then press one key once: vol up, vol down, power, vol down
Gears should appear, keep phone plugged and under wifi coverage.

If still not working, last resource is a pc with WDRT and a usb cable for recovery

To get help you really need to give more information.

I am guessing it's on a phone (WhatsApp) but what phone, what OS, 8.1, 10, anniversary update or if you are on Insiders ?

I suggest you join the community so you can reply, give as much detail as possible and what measures you have tried to solve it, like have you done a reboot, soft or hard reset etc.

Of reset after you see ! mark

Press the following

Vol up
Vol down
Power
Vol down

Then wait and it will become out of box state.

disable them from running in the background and see if that helps
