phone wont come on and It i'snt being detected by my computer

My friend gave it to me to see if i can get it to work because he doesn't have windows 10 on his computer and i do he said he charged it but that's all i know.

Doesn't sound healthy. Knowing what it is could be helpful. If it has a removable battery remove it completely and just let it sit for 15-30 minutes. I'm not saying it's going to work but I have seen phones "come back to life" after just removing the battery for a little while.

do you know which phone model it is? Can you also charge it and see what happens? Does your friend know what had happened to it:?
