What will be status of windows phone after 6 months?

As of my knowledge Microsoft contract is getting over and Nokia is tie-up with HMD Global for Android phones. Microsoft has launched their last phone last October, after that no new mobile announcements. Now Nokia is shaking hands with HMD Global and launching new mobiles with Android OS. Who will provide support for the windows phone users? What will happen to the windows phone users? Applications? Support? and all?

windows 10 mobile will continue to be developed at the same rate as windows 10 and the apps will be supported by MS and other developers
Phones will be released by MS but not so many - the good thing is that other manufacturers are also releasing new phones like HP, acer, alcatel etc

Microsoft will still be developing W10M in six months but don't expect new hardware, killer features or much choice.
