Why can't I enter text into the body of an e-mail within the Outlook e-mail app?

Windows 10, Insider fast ring, 10.0.14915.1000, Outlook 17.7167.40728.0

I start typing an e-mail within the app and it freezes after the first few characters, usually after a space or a comma. Following that, I can still edit the subject field, but can never go back to the body of the e-mail to edit it.

Any advice?

try a soft reset and if it still happens every time, try checking for app updates and sending feedback
