No audio via stereo port when connected in car

[Windows Central Question]

Just got my Lumia 650 after 4 years with my 820, I'm loving W10 but one issue I have come across is that when I connect my phone to the Aux connection in my car it does not play through the car speakers, it plays out through the handsets own speakers as if it hasn't detected the stereo jack.

Is there a setting or is the handset faulty? I never had this issue with my 820.

Help, I want to use my Spotify account in my car!!!

Try with different devices or systems - if the phone plays the audio through the devices, then your car system has an issue - however if none of the devices play correctly, then your phone has an issue. Try earphones, headphones etc
