I want to uninstall a microsoft update

I want to uninstall an update, Microsoft - other hardware - MTP device, which I think is blocking my phone from connecting to my computer. The update shows in my update history but not on the list of installed updates when I go to programmes and features so I can't see how to remove it. What should I do?

have you tried using a different USB cable? Or USB port?
