Microsoft Games no longer working after Windows 10 Anniversary Update

My laptop automatically updated Windows 10. The update seemed to go through okay, but none of my Microsoft Games work any more. I had installed the older versions of Microsoft Games (not the new versions, which I do not like), and they had been working fine since I installed them on Windows 10. I tried de-installing them entirely, rebooting, and reinstalling, but still no luck. When I click on the file to start a game, a small 'thinking' rotating circle icon comes on for a few seconds and then nothing happens, no application starts.

the old games might no longer be supported on windows 10 - you'll have to try the newer versions :grincry:
