Issue with USB connection

I have a windows ten lap-top, and I have recently purchased a Microsoft 650. When I plug it in to my lap top via the USB cable nothing happens ie my laptop does not see my phone. Does any any one have any ideas please

First time a phone is plugged, Win10 starts downloading and installing usb lumia dirvers, you an see it by a little movin green icon in the taskbar, or better in the System device list. It could take some minutes, according to your network and pc power.

After first installation , next time connection is istant.

Plug your phone and wait some minutes till a popup notice will apear

if you go my computer- do you see the phone there? And is your phone screen unlocked?
