why does my screen goes black after the ''just a moment text''?

My screen goes black after it tells me just a moment. The computer is still turned on but it shows nothing on screen bit the monitor doesn't show the ''no signal'' message.

what is the pc doing when this happens? Is it after running a program or playing something?
