Found another cause & solution:

I have a keyboard which loads up the Windows on-screen keyboard, the button should also close it but it remained behind after the graphic left, totally blocking my mouse clicks in that area.

Fixed by opening Task Manager, finding the On-Screen Input Display (Something like this, sorry I closed it down and forgot the name), and ending the task.

I had this same problem but not an Origin program in sight. It turned out to be the Intel Video driver. I clicked the little icon in my hidden icons spot and chose to turn off the notifications. That did the trick.
The problem only showed up on this computer while playing the 7 Gates game. Not an Origin game, just a pick 3.

Hi, I had this problem after getting the new update. I found a solution.

Go to:

Task Manager > More Details > Scroll all the way down > Click on Windows Explorer File > Click Restart
