Dedicated Graphic does not active on start up

[Windows Central Question]

Hi, I am an unsatisfied owner of Surface Book as a gamer.
I know this laptop isn't for high end games, but those MOBA I played are fine with the Nvidia GPU in Surface Book.

The real problem I encountered is, the Nvidia GPU does not active at the start up, if I load the game after I turned on Surface Book the first time, I got super low FPS.
No matter how many times I re-open the game, it stayed the same, until I restart my computer.
This occasionally NOT happens, but 8 of 10 times I got this problem.
I have assigned the game using Nvidia GPU in the setting, and I have look around on internet and yet found a solution.

This is definitely a software problem, MS please fix it ASAP by update, thank you.

did you undock your surface book while playing? that can result in the deviceiusing integrated graphics because more powerful Nvidia graphics is situated on the base of surface book. Kep it docked and then open all games.

have you checked that you have the latest firmware and OS updates?
Has this always happened or it started recently?
