Difference between office 365 office installation and office 2016 pro plus

Are there any differences between office 365 home and office 2016 pro when you compared their installations of word, excel, power point and publisher?

For example, is Word from O365 the same as Word in Office 2016? Or does one have more options/features than the other?

In general, if there won't be any major differences between them and any differences there are would be minor and probably not useful to the regular user.

Main one is that Office 365 is subscription where Office 2016 is not.
