Home, back, search and bottom half of screen not responding

[Windows Central Question]

Since replacing the battery on 1520 lumia, the bottom half of the screen and buttons are totally unresponsive. I have done a hard reset, but this did not cure it and my phone is stuck on the welcome screen and language choice. HELP!!!

no i have not used recovery. how do i do this?

You can download the recovery tool and it will reinstall the firmware of your original phone.

That sounds like an actual hardware issue then. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me can help you out.

I would suggest starting to look at swappa.com and eBay for a replacement. Perhaps you can get a used one for a reasonable price if you don't want to upgrade to a 950 or downgrade to a budget 550 or 650.

maybe in the process of replacing the battery, the display cable wasn't attached properly or got damaged
