Why isnt my mic working? It worked before but not anymore...

I am trying to make a video but it says i have to mic connected even though my mic is in, i have windoes 10 and ive went to the sound recording but it says i didnt have any recording devices in. Ive done this before and it worked but smething happened and it wont let me anymore, help?

check in device manager to see if the mic is detected or not. Check in the drivers list to see if the mic drivers have any errors. When you find the mic driver, reinstall it
