Windows 10 doesn't seem to update anymore

Regularly there as message appearing from the right corner of the screen that the computer is trying to install something, immediately followed by the message that there is something wrong. Plus the advice to look in settings. When i do this I find some updates or changes that I haven't asked for such as German Character Recognition etc.
What is happening and how to fix it?

Hi! The title of your thread is "Windows 10 doesn't seem to update anymore" It's very easy to check for windows updates. Just type "check updates" in search Orb.
You should see this. Click on update history to see all windows updates.
