How do I move my pics from phone to desktop?

Use OneDrive.
1. Always save all your pictures on your phone to OneDrive. Set the settings to upload at full resolution.
2. Use OneDrive to download to your computer. If you are on Windows 8.1 you can view the photos in OneDrive in File Explorer. Otherwise, use Internet Explorer and login to your OneDrive account and download, any photos you want, to your computer.
Or, just connect the phone to the computer with USB.
