Can i use a mouse with a Lumia 640XL?

Can you pair a Bluetooth mouse with a Lumia 640XL? I use remote desktop and TeamViewer quite a bit. I'd like to be able to pair a mouse with my phone and mirror it to my tv. Sort of a poor mans continuum. Will that work? And if so, how do you do it? I have a Bluetooth mouse but I can't get any device to recognize it without the dongle that came with it. Do I need a special kind of mouse? I really appreciate the help.

Are you sure it is bluetooth? Usually bluetooth mice don't include a dongle because if your device supports bluetooth it is usually integrated with your wifi card. Although, there are a few that give you the option of using either bluetooth (no dongle) or RF (with dongle) like the Logitech Mx Anywhere 2. If your device truly os bluetooth you should be able to pair it without dongle.
