Outlook Mail and outlook.com won't connect to GoDaddy POP3

I'm seeing posts over at GoDaddy that the recent updates to outlook.com and Outlook Mail Mobile (but not desktop versions) won't connect/sync with a GoDaddy POP3 email account. This has worked fine for the past several years through several updates of the mail apps. Is anyone else having this problem? And has anyone found a solution?
