Cannot run program as administrator

[Windows Central Question]

Before this I had a admin user and then I created another standard user and hide the admin user from logon screen.

Right now, with the standard user, I cannot run the programs that require administrator right because when I right click and click run as administrator, it show popup say that "Do you want to allow this app to make change to your device?" and only "No" button is provided.

I want to show that hidden admin user again, what should I do.

Hi! Welcome to Windows Central! Go to Setting- Accounts. You should be able to make changes there!:wink: If you need more help please join the forum

I have hidden that admin user by adding it SpecialAccounts with regedit.

I just want to be able to logon to the old admin user now.
I have tried many way but no way can bring it back.
Tell me steps to do that, please.

Hi you might try Advanced Start ups. I would try to restore to a earlier time first. Pick a time before you went into regedit. The registry is no place to be messing around IMHO! You could try in-place upgrade!
