why can't i get text notification on lumia 550

[Windows Central Question]

my lumia 550 has stopped notifying me when I get a text message. whatsapp and incoming calls still work. all my settings are on

try to turn the notifications off restart the phone and turn them back on, and restart again and should be fixed ,,,,;
if not fixed update your phone to latest software update(it supports windows 10 i guess),
or try to reset the phone!!
