why does the back up system say I am backing up Windows 7, when I am trying to back up windows 10?

[Windows Central Question]

trying to make a back up of windows 10 on my Lenovo desk computer and when I try to do that to an external hard drive I get a message on the screen that I am backing up windows 7!? what is going on?

Hi! Welcome to Windows Central! What are you using to create the back up? Assuming you are using the W10 back up feature, it should look like this. It's normal to see W7. PS I'm really glad to see you are creating a image of your OS. I prefer a 3rd party program, but this is better then nothing!:smile:
