From windows to android back to windows

So had win phone for many yrs & loved it. The wife really wanted all the apps her friends had so decided to give android a try earlier this yr. Wifey got the galaxy note 5 & myself got the galaxy s7 edge. Now i really loved the apps! My sports apps & the everyday social apps looking & running so smoothly. There were some things I missed from Windows but just loved the apps more. Well......guess who dropped their phone, yup me.$800 phone down the drain & still making payments. So am now using my wife's old 640 xl & love having Cortana back. Other than that I'm finding myself not liking anything else about the system. $365 to replace my screen on my s7 edge but am waiting for a reason to stay with Windows. Fb app is garbage here & pinning pages to my start screen just isnt the same. Will next year be better & should I wait? Thinking about buying a new windows phone but will it be the same with apps & poor performance? Or should I just pay for a new screen on my android phone?

Yes I saw this phone but t-mobile doesn't work very well where I live. Maybe it'll come out for other carriers later

Things seem to be happening slowly on the platform, aside from monthly updates. You can just wait until next year and just follow Windows 10 Mobile on that 640XL.

Since you feel the way that you do, it will be pointless to recommend buying a windows phone this year. The money you can use to try out a 950xl is probably enough to replace that screen. Or if you are able to, try the 950 xl from a place that you can return it to, and see how that goes for you.
