When I create a shared file in OneDrive on my desktop it works fine. Several people use it successfully. If I open the same shared file from my laptop, I get an error message from Word that the file causes a fatal error and it literally removes the file from OneDrive. Then Word stops working and it has to close. Otherwise Word works fine.
Both of the computers came with Win 10 (Dell). They both have four-core i5 processors with 16 GB of RAM (both about 1-year old). The desktop has one SSD, the laptop has two. The laptop has an Nvidia graphics card (came installed). All software is up to date.
