Problem in installing counter strike in windows 10

I was trying to install counter strike 1.6 in my windows 10 from DVD. As try to run the DVD it says, '' This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.

this could be because of a virus infection refer to this thread on Microsoft forum for a possible solution : This file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing - Microsoft Community
