Is there any way to install .apk files in my Lumia 640

[Windows Central Question]

I am using Lumia 640 device....and I am a non- insider
Is there any way to install .apk files in my Lumia 640
( i need criminal case, gom player and some apps)
And is there any way to stop whatsapp from increasing its size...(once it got 1.16gb)
often I uninstall and reinstall it ... is there any other way... pls suggest...

There used to be a way to did load Android apps (.apk) with Project Astoria. However, that has since been canceled. I now believe that method is blocked. As for Whatsapp I'm not sure. Have you tried installing an app to remove junk files. storage cleaner pro is an app that may work.

An app reset feature is set to be coming soon to insiders, but not sure how long it will take for non-insiders to get this. I haven't seen any storage cleaner apps that actually work. And obviously, there is no current way to install apk's
