Anyone else noticed that the animated GIFs option has gone from Facebook Messenger on Windows 10 Mobile. Anyone know of a reason? Or is this the usual anti MS practice of reducing functionality for no reason?

it has been removed what i consider for stability , and no the app is from Facebook and MS is not behind all this.

"abhishek singh21", it doesn't suggest that Microsoft is responsible, it suggests the feature was removed for anti-competitive practices. We all know they favor Android.
I haven't had any stability issues with it since they introduced it, one of the best features on there. Plus if it didn't work... why not fix it? Instead of remove it.
Personally I would say this is a deliberate move.

Frankly, I can no longer believe any of it all is anti-competitive and they aren't doing anything worse than what MS does. (10 doesn't work too good on older phones? Removed. Other defining features? Removed.)
Facebook doesn't want to invest a large amount of resources as the number of W10M users increasingly dwindle under MS's watch.
