Live Tiles don't update

So I recently purchased my Lumia 650 and I'm very happy with it (love the Start Menu). However, I've noticed that Cortana and the News app stop refreshing after 30 mins or so (if I restart the phone it works again). Is this normal?

what is your OS build / version? are you an insider and for how long are you facing this?

I'm not an insider, OS Version: 1607, OS Build: 10.0.14393.448 . I have been facing this issue for 2 weeks or so.
