Re Installing a Clean Windows 10 into another hard drive

Windows Central Question

I'm Currently on my Windows 10 Desktop computer, which was offered as a free upgrade from Windows 7 Pro. I want do a clean install into another hard drive that has more space and reformat the one in use.

Hi Welcome to Windows Central. Here's what I would do. I would do a refresh-reset on the old hard drive. Attach the new drive and clone it. Reformat the old Hard drive and you are good to go. Other members might have more suggestions latter. If you need more help, please join the forum.:wink: There are many ways to accomplish what you are wanting to do!

Or you could just plug in the new hard disk into your system, and install Windows 10. If you have not made any major changes, it will be recognised as the same device and Windows will activate automatically when you connect to the internet.
