i upgraded to windows 10 and laptop wont boot

[Windows Central Question]

I have a Sony Vaio that was running Windows8. I recently got a desktop with Windows 10 on it and liked it so I upgraded the laptop (via the Microsoft site). Immediately after the upgrade the computer will not boot up. It stays at the opening screen (black screen with VAIO in white lettering).

Hi Welcome to Windows Central. You state that you upgraded your laptop to W10 and now you can't boot into windows. What media did you use to install W10?.
The time for the free upgrade is over. When did you try to upgrade your laptop. There are tons of threads about the W10 upgrade on the forum.
