Degraded video quality

I notice that when I record HD video on my phone and watch it in the ohone, it looks great, but when I upload it to Facebook, the quality of the uploaded video becomes severely degraded (read: Nowhere near HD quality and far worse than the quality of other videos I see posted by others). This occurs when uploading over cellular and wifi connections.

Any idea why this happens or how to fix it?

Lots of share methods seem to downscale.

You could try xfering the video to desktop and uploading via browser.
