My live tiles are not working after last update and I have tried everything. I need HELP

My life tiles have stopped working and my battery does not hold a charge for very long either. This all happened after the last update. I have tried everything that has been suggested such as turning off apps in the background and resetting them. I have deleted my email account and reset that. I have deleted internet explorer caches. I am at a loss because now I do not get notifications when I get a text message. HELP

Hi, you may want to give your phone model just in case there are any problems specific to it.
Firstly I would try a soft reset.
