Windows Central Question
When I installed Windows 10 it created an entry in the boot menu so I can select Windows 10 or XP. Here's the problem - at first glance, everything looks like
it's working fine.
However, when I boot XP, I get occasional crashes in Firefox and my video app.
(Tmpgenc). The crashes indicate "program exception illegal operation". It never used
to happen when only XP was installed.
As a further check, I reinstated XP's native loader (using fixboot) and everything
then is working without errors.
I only get these program exceptions when XP is booted through the Windows 10 loader.
I have no idea why it's doing it, clearly something in the environment is different,
but what?
