Why aren't my text (SMS) notifications popping up on my laptop?

Both my laptop and phone are fully updated Win 10 - Cortana used to pop SMS notifications on my laptop when my phone received one. Other notifications still pop up on both devices, it is just SMS alerts that no longer are coming through. I have searched my setting etc, and I can't find anything that would show me a reason why. Does anyone know how to fix this, or is it a bug I have to live with?
