What is the easiest way of installing HERE DRIVE+ on my LUMIA 950xl?

I have tried downloading to a SD card on my laptop and installing that in the phone but it does not work. Are there any other navigation Apps which I could try?

Windows own maps use Here maps. Here maps were sadly discontinued for Windows and they refuse to run even when you sideload them.
MS did a good job with the maps app, I used it on several ocassions and for basic navigation is even better than Here - it's quicker and you can choose alternate paths. I don't think it can do intermediate waypoints though.
You can also try Sygic but it's not for free.
