Windows 10 Outlook Problem - Old Hard Drive Crashed

Hi i downloaded my work email to Outlook on Windows 10 and the settings were set to download and delete from server for some reason. Any way without backing up my laptop due to being busy my hard drive then crashed and my old laptop has stopped working. As Outlook deleted them from my server im at a loss as to where the emails are stored. Do i have to try and recover the PST file from my old hard drive or will they be stored on Outlook if i add my login details again. I dont want to set it up and have it download again from my server then delete them again.

If you had set it up as a POP account, then there's a good chance that the mail is gone for good unless you can recover the .pst file from the old drive. What has actually happened? You say that the hard drive failed, but then also say that the laptop has failed, these are two quite different things.
