Surface Book won't wake up from sleep until the keyboard is detached

Windows Central Question

Press power button, see Surface Logo, circle, screen goes black, keyboard backlight lit.

It will not wake up.

Press detach button on keyboard, tablet detaches and wakes up.

Running latest firmware, windows 10 511.
