Can I use power button or volume as shutter on my lumia 550?

When using the camera on my Windows 10 phone (Lumia 550) I often accidentally touch one of the other icons by mistake. This happens usually when I am trying to take a picture in a hurry. By the time I've worked out how to get back to where I want the photo opportunity has passed. Is there an alternative app that will let me use the power or volume buttons instead so that I can just "point and shoot"?

No that is not possible with the main camera app. As for if an alternative app works, hopefully we'll see some input there.

When it comes to using alternate buttons to capture pics... I don't think that Microsoft has API's to allow this so it is blocked at the OS level.

How about voice trigger?

Intellicam will allow you to set a phrase (cheese is default, but I use snap) that will trigger the camera.
