Is the Surface Pro 3 still a good buy?

Basically want to use it for work - MS Office, OneNote, email, but also run SketchUp.

For that, most any solid PC from the last few years will suffice.

The Pro 3 is a fine device, just know that if the battery dies or otherwise wears out then you'll have to replace the whole computer. And this will only become more of a worry as units age.
