Drag and drop empty folders

[Windows Central Question]

This is perhaps an stupid question but i am a beginner in onedrive
If I drag an empty folder to my onedrive structure, it doesn't work.
This way of copying files from my pc to onedrive works well for folders including files but not for empty folders.
As I need also those folders to be copied, can you tell me what I have to do to make it possible ?

Either place a small file into the folder before drag and drop...

or

Create the new folder in OneDrive and then start filling it...
